Best Stress Relief Bath Products

One of the best ways to relax and relieve stress is to take a soothing warm bath. After a long stressful day, there's nothing like a tranquil evening at home complete with bubbles, candles and your favorite mellow music playing in the background.

Whether you're treating yourself with an at-home spa day, or if you have a daily bath ritual to unwind, it's all about setting the perfect atmosphere.

In order to get the most relaxing and tranquil experience possible, you need the right scent, lighting, soap and other little accessories to allow that stress to just melt away while you soak.

In order to help you get the most from your relaxing bath time, we've compiled a list of the best stress relief bath products for the ultimate bath.

CAUTION: Combining all of these pieces to your bath routine may result in never wanting to leave the tub again! So cancel your plans so you can treat yourself to one of the most relaxing and stress-free experiences you'll ever have.

Bath & Body Works, Aromatherapy Stress Relief Body Lotion and Body Wash & Foam Bath

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Foam Bath

Let's start with the most important part of any stress relieving bath, the bubbles! You want this to be the most relaxing time possible, so don't skimp out here.

Don't just grab a bottle of kid's bubble bath. Take your bath to the next level with this combo pack from Bath & Body Works.

In addition to their signature stress relief foam bath, you also get the matching lotion. Both products are infused with Eucalyptus essential oils, which allows you to get the amazing benefits of aromatherapy during your bath.

If you're unfamiliar with Bath & Body Works aromatherapy products, they contain essential oils and natural ingredients, specifically combined to provide stress relief and relaxation.

In order to get the most from the essential oils in the foam bath, relax and breathe in while you're soaking. Take deep breaths and inhale the essential oils.

There's nothing worse than stepping out of a long bath only to have your skin become dried and pruned. That's why having the lotion included in this pack is so helpful. Apply it to your skin right after you've dried yourself off and it'll give you long-lasting moisture.

And not to mention, this is one of the freshest scents we've ever had the pleasure of smelling!

Bath & Body Works, Aromatherapy Stress Relief Candle

stress relief candle

Surprise! Another Bath & Body Works product from their aromatherapy line. This is the matching candle for the body lotion and foam bath mentioned above. And let me tell you, this is THE best smelling candle we've ever seen.

Just like the other aromatherapy products in this line, the candle contains essential oils and other natural ingredients.

This candle is made from vegetable wax and wicks that don't burn out. So you'll get all your money's worth here. They'll burn for up to 45 hours, which is amazing! Just make sure you trim the wicks to get the most life out of them.

You only need one of these, so no need to try to line the entire rim of your tub with them.

Side note: This candle is also in our stress relief kit!

Asutra Ultimate Relaxation Bath Salts

Asutra Ultimate Relaxation Bath Salts

Bath salts are amazing for your skin, and this particular line from Asutra is blended with essential oils to give you relaxing, stress relieving benefits as well.

Bath salts are packed with natural minerals such as potassium and magnesium, which get absorbed into your body to detoxify your skin. As a result, your skin feels softer, smoother and more supple.

Unfortunately, a lot of the bath salts on the market are actually just regular table salt blended with low quality fragrances thrown in. That'll actually do more damage to your skin than good. That's why we recommend the Asutra Ultimate Relaxation Pure Dead Sea Bath Salts.

They use REAL pure dead sea bath salts. Then they blend in some of the most relaxing and stress reliving essential oils there are:

  • Lavender
  • Cedarwood
  • Chamomile
  • Marjoram

If you're not happy with the product, you can even get a full refund!

Skip the Epsom salt and pamper yourself with bath salts specifically formulate for stress relief.

Oh and in case you're wondering, you can absolutely use bath salts and bubble bath together. It'll change the way you look at bubble baths forever, trust us.

Serenity Now Bath Pillow

Serenity Bath Pillow

Have you ever heard of bath pillows? No that's not a toilet seat cover! They're comfy waterproof pillows designed specifically to help you relax during those stress relieving bubble baths.

If you're like most people, you've probably seen movies where the actress sets up a soothing bubble bath to perfection then lays down in it and seems like she's in complete bliss.

Only, when you go home and try it yourself, you can't seem to get as comfortable as the lady in the movie looked. Your head and neck are pressed against the hard surface of your tub and you spend five minutes trying to adjust until you eventually settle on a position that's "good enough."

When you're trying to relieve stress, "good enough" isn't going to cut it. Grab one of these bath pillows and give yourself the support and comfort you need in your bubble bath. You shouldn't need to visit the chiropractor after stepping out of your bath.

Pure Body Naturals Beauty Dead Sea Mud Mask

Pure Body Naturals Beauty Dead Sea Mud Mask

What stress relieving spa experience is complete without a face mask? The Pure Body Naturals Beauty Dead Sea Mud Mask is the perfect stress relief bath product to add to your lineup.

If you suffer from stress bumps or acne, applying this natural mud mask during your soak will help cleanse your skin, reduce pores and fight the acne.

Here's how it works.

As the mask dries, it extracts the extra oils, toxins and pollutants from your skin caused by stress and all the damage your skin take on throughout the day.

Apply it at the beginning of your bath and let it do it's work while you relax. Then after about 15-20 minutes, wash it off with warm water. You only have to use it about once every 3-4 days.

Try it out to exfoliate and cleanse your skin from the damage caused by stress.

A Good Book

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck

Some people like to just sit alone and let their mind relax during their bubble bath. But others like to have something to do.

Instead of scrolling through Instagram or browsing YouTube videos, try reading a good book. You can pick from our list of the best stress books, or read that one book you bought five years ago but never even opened.

Since this is a list of the best stress relief bath products, one book we recommend is "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson. It puts a VERY interesting twist on the self-help books most of us are used to.

It's a must-read for anyone trying to live a happier life, but doesn't want the cliche advice you've read everywhere else already.

Chamomile Tea

teabox chamomile ray tea

Either while you're soaking or after you get out, a warm cup of tea is the perfect drink to relieve your stress and relax.

We have an entire guide dedicated to the best teas for stress. One of our favorites from the list that goes well with all of these soothing stress relief bath products is chamomile tea.

Chamomile tea promotes relaxation, sleep and even helps with anxiety.

On top of that, it's packed with antioxidants and is caffeine free, so you can sleep peacefully after your bath.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla Pillow Mist

Bath Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla Pillow Mist

This is the last Bath & Body Works product on the list, and it more optional. If you're planning on sleeping after your bath, this lavender vanilla scented pillow mist is the perfect way to cap off the night.

Just like the lotion, bubble bath and candle on our list, this mist spray is also a part of the aromatherapy line. That means it's infused with calming essential oils that will help ease your mind and fall asleep.

All you have to do is spray a little bit on your pillows before you lay down to sleep. As you breathe in the essential oil blend, you'll start to relax even more and gently fall asleep.

Plus, the vanilla and lavender scent is perfect. It's not overbearing or powerful to the point where it prevents you from being able to sleep.
